WORK EXPERIENCE

Since 2003, Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris:
Design and evaluation of a luminance compression algorithm, using the human visual perception characteristics, for digital and computer graphics images, applied for road visibility studies. Three year project as a PhD student.
Management experience: management of a team of 2/3 persons.
From February to June 2004, from February to June 2005 and from February to June 2006 : Tutorial teacher in Statistics to student in second year at university, Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne.

2002, Research engineer, Archives department of RTP (Radio Televisão Portuguesa), Lisbon, Portugal :
Audiovisual archives retrieval: temporal video segmentation, scene change detection (cuts, dissolves, fades, wipes…etc.) .
Work carried out within the European project of research MOUMIR (Models for Unified Multimedia Information Retrieval )

2001, Third year Engineering school internship, Electrical and Electronical department of Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland :
Audiovisual documents restoration (defect detection (drop out), noise estimation) ,
